Will cross post in Classifieds, but looking to part with this one... roughly 56K miles. Lot of mods. $65k.

If it's modded like that, would it be standard practice for the owner to be ok with you hooning the piss out of it when you test drive it?

Over-revs are never good, but the car is meant to be driven.

I'm not interested, but you might catch someone else's interest if you explained all mods in full detail, shared how many owners, how many miles you specifically have driven it, why you are selling, and posted about 29 more photos.

Otherwise, if I may suggest to try facebook marketplace. If you post there I'll offer $15K cash and pick up tomorrow

Funny. Additional photos added. Interested parties can ask about the mods. Carbon fiber hood, upgraded Turbos, intercoolers, pinned coolant lines. New belts and pulleys, electric spoiler rams, blah blah. Means nothing unless you are familiar with Mezger engines.

What more terrifying than a 20 yo Porsche? A 20 yo Porsche with "lots of mods".

The maintenance fears on something like that would have my ******* puckered up so tight I'd never enjoy it.

I just did $15k of engine out preventative maintenance. I would drive it across the country. Indy shops are more affordable than dealers for maintenance. I have 2 of them from 2002. Both drive whenever I want them to. One is a daily driver in one city. This is the Boxster I drive daily. The 996 TT is too damn fast for me. This one is just fun to drive.

I get it. 996 turbos are great deals. Tons of car. I'm messing with you.

But I think there's a reason that stock 911s on BaT and C&B bring more money than modded ones.

I run autocross with the Longhorn Porsche club in New Braunfels. Those guys scoff at $10k maintenance bills. That's terrifying.

The race guys seem to have unlimited funds. The Porsche team in Dripping wanted me to race it. Not my deal. I'm a road driver for pleasure. Maintaing a stable of 3 Porsches is not for the faint of heart. Trying to thin the herd a bit.

The 996TT was always an investment buy. Can hold without much worry drive it every 4th weekend to keep the fluids moving. Oil changes annually.

How is that for a run-on sentence you grammar guys!
