So they conveniently lower prices because of the tariffs and conveniently raised prices the exact amount of the federal rebate on the lightning truck back when it changed.

Every Ford dealership I've seen recently is FULL of inventory. We went to get some filters Saturday and I had a problem finding a place to park there were so many new vehicles on the lot.

The Ford.com splash page has it as the first link and has the models that are part of the deal and what the discount is.

It is pretty good.

Now find a dealer that won't force a bunch of useless, overpriced add-ons and/or play other scumbag games to offset much of that discount.

I'm confused by this post....

I get the anger on raising prices the exact amount of the federal rebate on the lightning. But every EV maker did that. That's why the rebate was dumb as hell. It was never going to benefit the consumer, just the manufacturers.

But why are you made at them for doing a sale when tariffs are going into place? You'd think the response that would anger you would be raising prices 20% because their competitors prices are increasing 25%....

I think it just indicates what ridiculous margins they operate on lately.

I know they all raise their prices according to the rebates, but when Ford did it, it was so blatant. It was immediate and it was to the exact dollar amount. Maybe they were all that blatant I don't know.

I mean the feds announced the rebate was for trucks under $80,000 MSRP.

Tesla set the base price of the Cybertruck at $79,990.

Because it's almost all US made. Or at least I think that is the case?????

When I was looking at SD, a lot of the F150 had stickers on the window about parts being sourced from Mexico. It was something I never noticed before. It showed what percent was not from the US. It was interesting.

The 6.7 is made in Chihuahua, Mexico and the 7.3 Gasser is made in Canada.

I have the ability to use X plan for the first time. Do you happen to know if the dealers still can stick it to you with the add ons? I assume theres no haggling and you basically disclose youll be using X plan when you show up and talk to the first sales guy?

Email the various dealers and see what the best price they can do is. Include that you are eligible for X-Plan.

That's what I've done and am doing now (unexpectedly in the market after an accident). My main contact simply sends me the window sticker for the vehicle, notes what her best non x-plan price is and notes what the x-plan price is. The contact I've used has never done all the add-ons but assume you can negotiate those as normal.

I have used X plan a few times as I have access to it. A Plan, which is the employee pricing, is better than the X Plan.
