I'm in the market for my wife's updated/new whip. We're going test driving and have zeroed in on a few different vehicles, but the MDX keeps coming up. Anyone have experience with it? We're likely to buy a gently used 1-yr old MDX with fewer than 10K miles. We're in the Plano/Allen area of DFW.

Bought a '25 Advance trim last October.

My wife was coming from a 2015 Rogue. Needless to say, it's the nicest car either of us have owned or driven. It's comfortable, spacious, well thought out.

I would caution against the 24 because they changed their infotainment to a touch screen for the '25 as opposed to some lame mouse pad thingy.

Fuel economy isn't great : 18 mpg city. 23-24 highway. It's also a bit wider than her Rogue, which was an adjustment, but the length is perfect for a 5 seater with spacious cargo area, or carrying 7-8 if needed.

We bought a 25 MDX AWD w/ tech package in November and it's great. Engine is lacking but that's my only gripe.

18 city is spot on after 3k miles
DFW to Houston is around 22-23 at 80-85mph.

Very annoying they didn't include the 360 degree view with their technology package, something my wife's $29,000 2015 Rogue had.

I'm pulling the trigger on a 2025 CPO with 3.2k miles at Park Place Plano. It's base SH-AWD, and my wife doesn't need or want some of the appointments on higher trims. I'll post pics later…

Took it home this afternoon. My observations are as such:

1. This has considerably more pickup than my mom's Honda Pilot with the same engine.

2. It feels very sturdy and solid to the ground.

3. Its smooth.

4. My wife loves the appointments and feel.

5. It's user friendly. The controls are within easy reach and make sense. The sound system is nice, and the touchscreen is big and very functional. The dash info is useful as well.

We'll see how things go, but I have a very happy wife.

Acura and Lexus are surprisingly lacking in some features on the "basic models " yet exist on the mid trim Hondas and Toyotas…CRV EX has key fob remote start. RDX it's a $550 dealer install option. Really Honda?

Toyota l/Lexus is even worse. We looked at the GX550, and it's laughable what you get with even the Premium+. To have to buy a $80,000-$85,000 GX to get a panoramic sunroof.

No wireless car play on my 2023 TLX Type-S. We paid a nominal service fee and the Honda dealership updated my son's 2022 Accord for wireless car play. Maddening. The little $50 stick I got on Amazon works fine though.
