Curious as to people's thoughts on this. I have a couple of vehicles up at my house in Colorado that probably get driven no more than 3-4 weeks in one years time. Under 5 thousand miles a year for sure. I am currently changing the oil every year or year and a half. Is this frequent enough? Or can I go two years? I do have a guy that checks on my place once a week crank them up on occasion to let the oil circulate around a bit which seem like a good idea.

I think once a year is fine. Especially if they're not high dollar vehicles. I have a ranch truck that I drive maybe 1000 miles a year and I change the oil once a year.

Every 5k on my 2010 Tacoma, that has come out to every 2 years for the last couple oil changes. I'm just now about to change it again, although with a full synthetic.

I change when my computer hits 20% oil life. Usually around 7500 miles which is 3-4 months for me

i wouldn't bother cranking them up for 5-10 minutes only every once in awhile. if they're going to do it, crank it and let them warm up fully.

that is probably not necessary anyway if you leave them on a battery tender, maybe with some fuel stabilizer.

I am a bit different as I have 2 in this category. Annually is a bit much. I change my own oil, so I know what it looks like. 18 months if you cycle oil through them every month. That means driving enough to warm the oil through the engine.

100%. Need to drive them 15 minutes or more, get the operating temp up in the engine, transmission, etc. Cycle the A/C try all the electronics.

5-10 minutes without driving is probably worse than letting them sit
