Guy in a truck purposely bumped in to my car this morning, and then took off. I have a police report in, but they can't do anything. Can anyone look up a plate for me?

I just didn't want to have to involve my insurance, but I will just go that route.

How do you connect a name with a license plate? I sold an old beater Saturday and the buyer didn't share his name and address as promised, so filing a Vehicle Transfer Notice is not possible. None of the license lookup options I can find look like they provide the vehicle owners names.

Yeah, stupid. Blocked the driveway when we were heading to the gym, and made the offer. Car wasn't for sale, but the dude was persistent and I was in a rush. He left his truck and I gave him my phone number and email to send his info. I filed the form with buyer unknown, but I don't think it will be accepted.

So much this. I had a cousin murdered a few years ago when he followed a guy that hit him in an intersection. The guy pulled over after a couple of miles and while Andre was using his phone to take a picture of the license plate and driver the guy shot him through the windshield. This isn't your battle to fight.

He picked up his truck later. I left him a note to remind him that I needed his info with my phone number and email.

It's a beater that might be worth $2k after $4.5k of work.

TxDMV came through quickly. I would still like to know how to find a vehicle owners name by license plate if that's even possible.

Just filled out the online form with unknown for the buyer name and address on Sunday, and used my phone number. Also sent an email asking about the status first thing Monday morning. They asked for vin and it's all good. Not what I was expecting.
