My 2020 Chevy Silverado with 73k miles has started to shudder at high speeds, any recs on a good transmission shop, or should I just take it to a Chevy dealership (Mac Haik is closest)? I'm in the Energy Corridor and bought the truck used with 52k miles on it.

I just went through this last week with my 2020 Sierra 1500, 87k miles. Took it to a local general repair shop for transmission service, went back with OEM fluid they picked up from the dealership. Fixed it almost 100%. Pricey but worth it.

5.3L with 8 speed? The 6.2L and 3.0L had the 10 speed in 2020. The shudder is a widespread problem with the 8 speed. Try changing fluid first, but it'll need a torque converter eventually and that's not going to last forever either.

I'd suggest always avoiding the 8spd. 6 or 10 for used trucks.
