Did they forget Nissan? Altima should be near the top of this list

The YJ bothers me being on the list. Old cars have more time to be in an accident.
This might be a badge of honor for the YJ as only a small percentage have been in an accident despite having been on the road for 50 years.

I came here expecting to see 2008 Nissan Altima with paper plates as the #1.
Have to assume many of those are hit and runs though and not reported accurately.

Why are Jeep Wranglers broken out into multiple models and all VW Beetles are lumped together?

Younger drivers with cheaper smaller cars and less experience and more reckless. Probably a slight younger female bias for fender benders type events that are more common but less damaging, based on that collection of vehicle models. Also definitely cars that poorer drivers would select more often and poorer people aren't known for the best judgement, hence why they remain poorer. I imagine the truck/jeep is more for worksite and offroad damage….except for the rams, cause Ram 2500 drivers are dudes driving like jackasses in traffic.
Four different Dodge pickups, and not a single Ford or Chevy?
They cause the most accidents, near misses, and hit and runs. Probably why they missed the list.

I don't know the Jeep models, but a Beetle is a Beetle.

I'm surprised to see such a high number of electric models here. Why do you think they would be more accident prone? (I'm sure I will have to wade thru a lot of jokes and sarcasm in responses)

It says "registered vehicles" and these are reported accidents. The most common offenders (Nissan Altima, Dodge Charger, Chrysler 300) wouldn't qualify based on these requirements.Ag for Life said:

Exactly my thoughts over the years, but I never expressed it so well.
Seems to me that a lot of times cheap "entry-level" cars (Kia, Mazda, Hyundai) are the ones that I see that are being driven recklessly.
