Is your county tax office as slow as Bexar?

I mailed in a license renewal for one of my cars on April 21. In years past I got the new sticker back in about a week. After two weeks of getting nothing this time and not seeing the check post to my bank account I started to get concerned. I have two other vehicles coming due soon so yesterday I went down to the tax office to renew them all. The teller looked up the one I tried to renew by mail, and saw they processed it on May 13 over three weeks after I mailed it (saw it finally posted to my bank) and that I should get the sticker on May 21 or 22. That's a whole month elapsed tome. I don't remember it taking that long in the past.

(I still don't have it, BTW)

Never mind. I misunderstood what you were renewing.

Comal County last month. Walk in, go straight to the front for renewals, show insurance, pay too much money. Took about 5 minutes tops. Similar when I lived in San Patricio County and used the Portland office.

When I was in Bexar, I remember going to the Northeast outpost and it taking way too long. Felt like an understaffed place full of unhappy people on both sides of the counter. What is the infamous quote? "... just part and parcel of living in a big city".

My last mailed ones in January took ~1,5 weeks to receive after I paid online. Small county that takes ~5 mins in person if there isn't a "line"

Our first renewal of the year did ok. We submitted on-line on May 5th and on May 7th, we received the email saying it was approved and we could use that paper as proof of registration. By May 15th we had the sticker.

Yours must have gotten lost or misplaced. We have had some delays before buy nothing major.

I just get the registration renewal at the HEB customer service counter when I get groceries.

I pay an extra $1 (plus a stamp) so I can do it from the comfort of my couch. It's like curbside but takes a month

Is this about vehicle registration renewal?

I use the TxT app. Quick & easy. Has always been fast.

Used the above mentioned site. Bexar county took about a week.
