Ford ETA keeps moving

My husband ordered a truck and it arrived at a Houston rail yard on May 3rd. Every week his estimated delivery date keeps shifting to the next week. Has anyone else had this happen? The most recent ETA he received (if it doesn't move again) would mean it sat at the rail yard for a month. Is this that the trucks to haul them to the dealership are behind or is there a Ford issue?

What dealer?

What are they saying?

Planet Ford. They just keep saying they have no control over the ETA.

Is this a new 26 model? F150 or 250?

Every lot I've seen is Full of 25 models so I'm wondering why he ordered one.
The last Ford I ordered turned into a super Cluster screw. Dont think I'll ever order one again. I'll Shop online for the exact match and call to see if they will make a deal.

Not something like an F150 or 250 or on a lot. It is a special order. Order was placed in October, it was built in April and at the local rail yard in Houston since May 6th.

I think when mine Finally came in a few years ago they waited until a full truckload was there before shipping it to the dealer. To save on freight…

Not positive, but based on my one experience years ago special ordering a car, the dealers have very little control over when cars are built, completed, shipped, etc. was amazed at the disconnect I saw there as I waited much longer than expected or originally promised. Was working with someone I trusted, so I think he was straight about things.

As someone who just got a Ford I can confirm that there were a lot of vehicles in transit, mainly at rail yards waiting for trucks to take them to dealers.

I will say that I was talking to 1ags' contact and she told me they can specify which vehicles to be prioritized to be delivered. Unfortunately, they didn't have what I was looking for so can't confirm it's true, but don't think she'd lie about that.

You're lucky if you never have to deal with rail companies. They work on their own time and there's nothing you or even Ford can do about it.

I literally had two Ford employees sitting on my back porch yesterday with cigars and bourbon that could run traps on that for you.

Any chance you can still look up the status with the VIN? It has been a crazy last week with graduation and family.

The VIN is 1FTER4LR6SLE10736

If you can help at all we would really appreciate it. The ETA just changed again to 6/12-6/18. It arrived in Houston on May 6th. This means it will have been sitting at the rail yard for 6 weeks which is so frustrating. Is there anything we can do to expedite getting it on a truck to the dealership?

My buddy has gotten involved and looped a Houston zone manager into the process.

She's top notch and I really don't believe she would lie.

I ordered a truck from her a few weeks ago. Scheduled to be built mid-July. So, I may be dealing with this same issue soon as well, but I have a feeling she will get it worked out.

I bought two brand new trucks this year. I've purchased from there for 20 years. You don't keep your job that long without being legit. I briefly toyed with the idea of buying closer to me but after dealing with a few sales guys and "managers", I said "nope, driving 3 hours and buying from 1ags contact….again."

That's how much I trust their word. You are in the best hands you can be in in this entire state in my opinion.
