Awesome I love that.

When I was a father of a young daughter and something like that happened I would try to pray about it rather than utter a chorus of profanity. It worked pretty well, and my daughter did not hear the F-word from me until long after her grandfather had used it in front of her countless times.

Now that she is 18 I'm back to MF, WTF, HTF, and FFF

My son watched me replace the blower motor on the F-250 a few months ago. For some reason they wedged a screw way in the back and I had to remove a fuse panel to get to everything. I literally had to weld a hex head to a box wrench to get the screw out. He then proceeded to tell my wife how much the Ford engineers hate me and that they must have thought about me when they designed the truck.

She was very confused.

Here he is 5 years ago helping me renovate the camper. He still loves helping me on projects and is close to getting to the point he can actually be helpful.

Oh yes, this little guy loves helping me work on all the things.

Trucks, equipment, toys… he's in.

I'm not mechanical by nature. My dad's solution to car problems, was to take it in. I learned very little growing up, but taught myself a few things in my time as an adult (thank you YouTube).

But me and my son have bonded over his love of wrenching. His first car was a 2002 model and he's in an auto-tech program....so working on that vehicle we had a lot of opportunities to spend time together. Rather than the other way around, He's taught me a lot about cars, and I'm forever grateful for it

I was working on my car in high school, grabbed the fan shroud while the engine was running, and got the crap cut out of two fingers on that hand.

I yelled "F***!", while my dad was standing about 10 feet away.

He let that one slide, when he normally would have been all over me for profanity

And the right words for that situation are "Oh F*** now I have to ask the auto board on Texags and get raked over the coals for being a dumba** before actually getting a helpful comment."

Ahh that reminds me of Tundra wheel studs. I snapped off enough during brake jobs and tire rotations that i went ahead and bought a baggie full.
