Sorry for another Ford topic, but looking to get into a new truck. My current truck is an F150 with the 3.5 eco boost. Haven't had any real issues with it as it's at about 100k miles. Thinking I'm ready for something new. For my next purchase I am considering the 3.5 power boost hybrid. Wanted to get the board's thoughts on the engine.
TIA.

Love mine. If you intend to use the pro power onboard or just like to drive faster it's worth it. The mpg is all it's cracked up to be for my experience.

Probably the only annoying aspect is the e regenerative breaking. Just feels like antilock brakes slipping all the time.

I had (3) 3.5s. I bought a used Powerboost in February. Put about 14K on it since then. Same engine, but get the hybrid benefit. It has increased my mileage to right at 23mpg for combined driving (mainly highway). Keep your foot out of it - especially around town and the mileage is nice.
One thing I have noticed is that it has smoothed out shifting when using cruise control. On my last 3.5/10 speed I would get a lot of down-shifting with hills and such. I don't know if the Powerboost gets the credit or improved transmission ('23 v '19), but with the cruise on it almost never shifts out of 10th.
Haven't needed the onboard power yet so I can't comment there.
Like the previous poster, the braking feels different and takes a little getting used to.

Following, I'm in a similar situation as you however I am strongly considering the 3.0 Chevy/GMC diesel. Seeing reports of 27 mpg confidently there. I don't think I'll have any use for the pro power onboard with the Ford.
