Lincoln Aviator Issues.

I bought a 2024 Lincoln Aviator at the end of last year.

I'm now on my second round of service repairs for a check engine light.

The first round was to replace the capless gas cap. Seems like a silent recall is going on, and Lincoln upgrades the part to fix it.

Car drove fine for a month and the check engine light was back on.

New diagnosis is needing a new purge valve and gas canister.

Dealer has been great and given me a new loaner both times.

Should I be concerned that the fuel system continues to have issues? Anything worth mentioning to the dealer?

I don't think I'm in lemon law territory yet, but wondering what is going on.

Are there any performance issues or is it just an annoying light?

This last issue had it leaking fuel when I filled it up

Overfilling the tank? No No

I don't think Ford is shy about loudly recalling vehicles now. For the year, I think they're at 103, 104, 105, damn just hit enter to stop the count.

Not overfilling the tank.

There seemed to be something wrong with either the purge valve or gas canister such that when I would start putting gas into the car, some amount would leak out through a gap in the system, into the wheel well and onto the tire.

Wonder if the tech bumbled the first repair

Tacomas have the exact same problem. So if it's really just a gas cap and purge valve I wouldn't worry.

That was my initial thought when it came back on.

Bought my wife a 2021 Aviator. Pretty frustrated with it. Non-wear parts on the front end. Part of the problem is the front end drops:

1. During all auto stops and
2. When is parked after driving.

Parts that rarely wear do because of the above.
