My kiddo got hit in a parking lot. Thankfully the other driver was honest, admitted fault, and Allstate is covering 100% of the damage. It's our 2016 Honda Civic with about 75k miles we've owned it since new and it's never been in a wreck.

Anyone know a good body shop in the Grapevine area?

I also talked to an appraiser I used about 15 years ago for a diminished value claim. He was great back then, and he said it's probably worth paying his fee since I'd likely get more back in diminished value. I know I need to get the car fixed first, but wanted to have a good shop to fix it right as the kiddo will be using this car for a while.

I'm no help for your situation, but do you mind sharing your appraiser friend who helped with the diminished value claim? I did that a long time ago and unfortunately am probably about to need to go back that route again once I get my vehicle back from the body shop. I'm in East TX though.

James with Direct Appraisal was the guy I used and I've had a few friends use him. He's rough around the edges but he successfully helped out me and my friends. He definitely knows what he's doing with the diminished value process and will walk you through it. His website is directdv.com
