Caught a rock on the lease road now the passenger headlight is cracked - allowed in some moisture. Quad Beam LED's
Light was working up until recently but now it blows the fuse constantly. Even with headlights off the fuse blows immediately.
My thoughts are that the moisture fried the light and fried the HCM? Because I don't see how killing the headlight switch on the dash would still send power to the light unless the HCM shorted?
But I still have low/high beams on the remaining light.
Being that its my rig ride and my time in town is always when the parts houses are closed figured I'd ask before ordering both a headlight and an HCM? Is there a way to test the HCM?
OR better question since I'm not fully aware if the new HCM will need to be programmed or not, would this be a better dealer/shop question? I just hate not having the answer before I drop it off to someone's who's incentive is to jack up labor costs as much as possible
