Meant to post over the weekend, but time got away from me. 2025 Raptor 801A.

After totaling my 2022 F150 Tremor and moving back into a GMC 1500 Duramax, it just wasn't the same. Mostly the seats as I just couldn't get over how uncomfortable they are compared to Ford's for the amount I sit in them. Got a pretty sweet deal up here near close to home a good ways under MSRP.

Trick is, getting my wife to let me drive it now as she claims we've officially traded vehicles. Of and it fits in the garage with about 2 or so inches on each side.

My previous company vehicle was a 2023 Chevy Z71 RST with a 5.3.

Loved it but my goodness the seats are bad. I drive a lot and it was killer at times.

They're not.. it's just a common thing people bring up because they think the skinnier part looks better at the front and not the back. The Raptor boards also serve a purpose for rock protection which is why it's fatter at the front and installed as designed from factory.

Dunno the larger section works better up front once you swap sides you never unsee the wrongness.

And they don't help anything off road. Get real sliders if that's your issue. If you use them to hop in the truck the swap is the way to go.

The wider portion is in the front from factory. People flip them so the tapered end is at the front. I guess they're chasing aerodynamics in these.. I'm on my second one and have never even thought much about swamping them around. I also have to think they're intended to be wider in the areas most people are stepping up onto them as well.

As far as rocks yes they're more beneficial for just minimizing rocks being thrown up than ever functioning as sliders.

I've been running 00mm offset wheels on mine so the steps do help a hair given I've got about 1" wider stance than the stock wheels.
