Any feedback from anyone on this engine? I know it's been discontinued but I'm curious if anyone has experience owning one? Seems the MPG is much better than a gasser but the tow capacity is basically the same.

I'm thinking about picking one up for my kid as it won't be used for towing.

Thanks yall

Thanks for the response. I don't know anyone that has owned one but I have a few buddies that have the Rams with a 3.0. They by and large like them a lot and haven't had problems. I might just get a Ram

I'd look into that a little closer, that engine is supposed to be a disaster.

The Chevy Duramax 3.0L isn't perfect, but it's the half ton diesel to get and it's far more popular than the Ford and Stellantis offerings.

An Italian diesel sold by a French company to put in Mopar products just seems like about the worst set of circumstances possible for an engine.

Buddy has a 21 model. It's deleted to fix the EGR, DPF, and DEF BS. Also has a tuner in it. Truck loves fresh oil so frequent oil changes are a must. Also frequent fuel filter changes. Also was to run aftermarket fuel treatment every fill up like Hot Shot Secrets. Also the Belt Tensioner's need to be changed before 80k plus miles.
