I have a good deal on a truck out of the Northeast I would like shipped to Houston. Who would yall recommend for this? I dont think I need enclosed transport but yall correct me if I should when buying a new vehicle.

Why not fly and pick it up ?

Probably cost less than or the same as paying shipping

If you're buying from a dealer, I would have them arrange it with their preferred shipper. That's likely to get you the best service and you have a bit more leverage. The other option is to go with a broker who will contract the job out, and chances of delays and "unexpected" upcharges are high.

This is my experience based on a purchase out of Kansas in April 2025. Delivery was open trailer.

Have a super pregnant wife so leaving the house for 3 days to get the vehicle home unfortunately is not on the table which was my initial plan.
