Been on the hunt for a Single cab truck. Prefer gas but diesel ok. 4wd needed. Auto or Manual. Use is hauling hay, tractor, cattle, boat, etc. All typically under 10k lbs.

Budget is under $25k. Not interested in a beater but older is fine.I've been surprised at what these 4 or 5 year old things are going for. Geez.

If anyone has a lead, I'd like to chase it down. Also, should I stay away from the older 5.4L, 6.2, or 6.8 V10? I would also entertain an older donor for a 7.3 Godzilla swap.

Expanding your search to crew cab will let you get a truck that was personally owned and not beat on in a fleet. 2020MY GM is the sweet spot 6.6 gas great motor and 2020 still had the good 6 speed transmission before they went to 10sp

I maintain my points from above but if you require ford. The 6.2 is great my operators put 3-400k on them pulling heavy trailers on gravel roads the whole time.
