Anyone have experience with this school? My boss is looking to use his GI bill to send his son to the school if he's accepted. Looks like a pretty cool program, I know they do cool **** out there.

The reviews I've seen are hyper negative, as are most personal accounts of anything Hennesey. I'll try to find a link.

I've heard the same negative stuff as lb3, lots of folks use their GI bill for it and the job placement numbers were skewed but it's been a while. Maybe they offer you a low paying job once you're done to increase the placement ratio, but the job sucks.

My brother graduated from SAM back in the day. He went on to become somewhat of a cylinder head guru and one heck of an engine builder. He had nothing but good things to say about his time there.
He has since told me he has heard it went downhill. Old heads retired and they started to get into japcrap and euro trash tuning. When he was there it was 99% American racing stuff and 1% gunsmithing as students and teachers would bring in their side projects.

Can the school be paid for with a Viper hood?
Are you referring to the story where a guy brought his viper in to be modded and Hennessy started using it as a parts car for other customers?ILikeTacos said:

Yes. Us "olds" in the racing community have long memories. We knew the original people that got screwed over by Hennessy.
