Any of you fellow car dorks do car shows? I am thinking of starting with Cars and Coffee and legit car shows soon…..but I don't know the protocol on vehicle prep, etc. Any advice?

Are immature adults a thing at car shows/gatherings? Helicopter parents at kids games can be incredibly immature….but I never thought car shows would be similar.

I did one when I first got my Firebird, but it was very calm because it was the sleepy town of Colleyville. Mostly classic cars and a bunch of old dudes.

I plan on doing it again this year now that the swap is completed and see how many Pontiac purists I can piss off. At least my intake comes off a 2005 GTO

It has always amazed me how many people drive cars that far exceed their skill to control and their sheer lack of desire to correct that deficiency.

Or that that they are far too dumb to understand how much power they are dealing with. I did some dumb things in a car when I was young and very dumb, these days I wouldn't try anything too crazy without a wealth of knowledge of the vehicle as well as some decent performance driving instruction. I just don't know enough about controlling a car with a crazy amount of HP

As someone that was once a stupid teen with a classic muscle car, seeing these guys makes me want to see some spun bearings and blown motors. Those make my day, and also, I did exactly that....and my dad whipped my ass and made me pull the motor and rebuild it with my time and money. HAHAHA....
