Not surprising. We even had a problem with Sewell Cadillac in Houston raising the agreed upon price last August after the vehicle came in. And this was after we had to agree to their additional dealer markups on window tinting, etc.
Was disappointed in Sewell after having bought from their other dealerships in the past with no such problems. Unfortunately I don't see them on this list.
Their Sales Manager Ratan was no help…

You mean the dealership cartel isn't also systematically involved in almost unlawful fraudulent practices also? Surprising. To be fair, I've never had a problem with a dealer that placed me with a good straightforward salesperson. I pretty much have to interview the sales and finance person early in in the process to see if they seem direct and straightforward and then things will go smoothly.

It's where my family settled after immigrating from Ireland. The last of the family moved out of there 35 years ago, I hear that it's really gone down since then.
