Backup camera question

I have a 2017 Nissan Titan. When I bought it - looks like it had an aftermarket camera. Fit on the license plate bracket. I stepped on the camera - so broke it.

I had to replace the tailgate (dented it to hell) - the new tailgate had an integrated camera right below the handle.

Trying to see if I can plug this in to the system. The head unit (screen in the dash) seems to be OEM Nissan (course, I'm a dumbass about these). Couldn't find anything online so far about where to plug in, and I'm a general dumbass about automotive type stuff (looked underneath the back of the truck - didn't see anything obvious).
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

Camera should have a wire that runs all the way from the camera itself to the head unit and it will plug in there.

At least thats the way it was in my F150 when I had a new head unit installed. I went from the factory 4 inch screen to an 8in that allowed me to utilize CarPlay/Android Auto.

I know it was in the back of the screen because some time later my factory camera in the tailgate flipped it's image with left on the right and vise vera. Took it back over to the folks that installed the new unit and they showed me the factory camera vs an aftermarket with the whole thing pulled apart hanging from the dash. It appears that my factory camera simply somehow lost it's mind. But all of the connections were simple plugs behind the dash into the head unit.

I have the exact problem that you described (backup camera right/left image flipped) in my stock F150 that came with the 8" sync screen. Was this something you fixed yourself, or did you find someone to take it to? (I would prefer avoiding a dealership.)

Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for 30 min

Didn't think to try the battery thing 1ags mentioned... I've got an aftermarket camera advice the license plate now. Stick one (in the Ford tailgate emblem) has also started occasionally blue-screening.
