I had a much longer post typed out and will likely do it again later today, but the internet ate it when I hit post.

The TLDR version is that I lost 50 pounds while getting much healthier while on Monjauro and Farxiga for non-controlled type II diabetes. Health is much better but I lost muscle mass and lack the knowledge and experience in putting some healthy muscle back on. Not looking to get huge, just tired of seeing ribs and having thighs that make some people think I've got an eating disorder.

Any thoughts on threads, websites, books? I'm looking to learn and then get motivated to actually get the gym going despite my lack of knowledge and general apprehension.

Look up Stronglifts and try to eat 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight.

It is 3 days a week and starting off takes 30-40 minutes per workout. You will get stronger. It is super simple, there is an app that does all the math and weight and plate calculations for you.

Do it for 6 months to a year. Once you have a strong foundation in the fundamental barbell lifts and the concept of progressive overload, you can start to branch out into learning more about Hypertrophy and other styles of training.

Just my 2 cents.

And as to this, I promise this will not happen unless you want it to. It takes an extraordinary amount of work to put on size and muscle mass.
