Shoulder Pain

So I just started experiencing some fairly intense shoulder pain yesterday. It throbs a little a bit even when I'm not doing anything but the most pain tends to be reaching for things.

If I raise my arm so that it's straight up next to my ear, there's a little pain as I get to the very top but when I lower it, when the arm is about at 90 degrees it really hurts. Not sure why coming down is different than going up but it's much worse.

I've also noticed my shoulder popping as I walk, almost like it wants to drop down out of the joint, it just feels very loose.

Plan to see a doc but curious what y'all's thoughts are.

Any previous trauma to the shoulder? Important to rule out labrum with what you described.

Not that I'm aware of. I will say this shoulder has always been different. I lifted heavy all through high school and eventually this shoulder did start bothering me and has always been a little poppy and achy when lifting weights or doing push-ups.

But nothing like it is now, more of just an annoyance
