Thought I was coming down with a cold yesterday, negative COVID test before I went to work.

Felt pretty bad this morning so I did another one right before I was supposed to head to the airport, and yup, I've got the vid.

Plane tickets refundable thankly, going to call and see what I can get back on the hotel room later today. Obviously out the race fee.

I got the 'vid before a marathon in '21. Hurts even more that it was a major. Hope you feel better soon and find a good race to use your fitness on later this fall.

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. And as someone who attempted to race with covid (though I didn't know it was covid at the time), it's miserable. You are better off not running. I know that doesn't make you feel any better, but racing with covid blows.

Based on how I feel this morning, there is no way I would have tried it. Making coffee sounds exhausting.

At this point I'm glad I didn't fly to Chicago for nothing.

And now Kiptum breaks the world record. My race plan was totally to follow that guy and draft off of him, too.

Oh well, maybe next year.
