Thinking of buying one. Are they worth it?

What are you wanting to get out of it?

As the owner of an Oura ring, it's not worth it for me. I wear it when sleeping and glance at my sleep stats upon waking (RHR and HRV) but I don't use it for much else beyond that. I really only keep it around because it was a gift from my wife.

Similar to the Whoop strap the only things I've really gleaned from the information was drink less and sleep more. I never really let the strain/readiness score act as any guide to how I was going to train that day. I stick to my schedule and let my body tell me how I want to train. Since I've quit drinking my readiness score rarely dips below 80 unless I've had a very long or hard run the previous day.

I think it's OK personally. I still use my Gen 2 version from time to time to check how it compares to my Garmin sleep stats. I'm not sure what the new versions give you insights to, but there is a like $6/month subscription they rope you into. What size are you? I'm a 7 that I'd sell cheap if you want to try it out and see how you like it.

I like it, mainly because I don't like wrist jewelry / accessories and I use it in place of my wedding ring to keep the ladies away. I can't really compare accuracy to other devices because I've never used anything else consistently. Good for sleep tracking and your general activity during the day. Not great for training purposes if you're into real time feedback on heart rate, etc while working out.
