After about a 5 year running hiatus I'm back in for the half. Goal is just to finish strong. Who else is in?

Running my first half, look for the guy at the back of the pack and that'll be me!

I"ll be there running my first marathon. Shooting for sub 4 hours. Weather looks to be in the 40s and sunny, perfect for me!

That's the way that I've always enjoyed starting. D-A-L.
The first ten minutes are a lot of shuffling and pace setting. Your chip doesn't start until you cross the line.

Came in at 1:27:17 this morning. Not quite where I wanted to be time-wise, but I'm pleased with the effort and results, all things considered. It took me the first 5k to really get it going due to the wind and me just being unsettled and sloppy, but each 5k after was much better.

First full in the books with a time of 3:56. I was sticking with the 3:40 pacer until mile 19 when I developed searing pain in my left big toe (??). Walked a couple of miles. Toe pain finally subsided around mile 24 that allowed me to finish strong.

Came in at 1:46 for the half. Pretty happy with that on 6 weeks of consistent training.
