Here's the story. I had a mild stroke 4 years ago that affected my right side. The main issue is an ongoing tremor in my right arm when I'm trying to do things like write, type, eat, play guitar, etc.
I've been to a couple of neurologists who prescribed various medicines that have not helped very much. So upon the recommendation of a friend, I've gone to a third neurologist office. Their practice is also big into doing sleep studies. This is where my questions come in.
The doctor brought up sleep studies, and asked me the standard questions about my sleep. Do I snore, have trouble breathing, sleep apnea, etc. According to my wife, I don't check any of those boxes. I don't snore, I don't stop breathing and then have to gasp myself awake to get air, etc. I have no trouble sleeping, and since I am effectively retired I can sleep whenever I want. The doctor said that all sounds good, no problems, but he's really pushing me to get one anyway.
Here's my problem. I really feel like they're just trying to upsell their services, like a car dealer insisting I buy all the extra dealer add-ons and such. All I'm there for is to see if my ****ing arm tremors can be fixed. Nothing I've seen online suggests that a sleep study is going to fix my arm.
So I guess I'm asking if anyone here has done a sleep study and had it reveal a miracle cure for neurological symptoms?
