DRC 5 Mile.
Held close to goal pace throughout, won the age group. Perfect, dry weather and breakfast tacos after. Pretty nice little Saturday.

The Woodlands Half Marathon

My first goal was sub-2:23, stretch goal of 2:20. I finished in under 2:17 so I'm happy! I might run a sub-2:00 one day, ha! Feel pretty good right now except for one toenail that's tender.

Hyrox race sim at the gym: provably had 50 people turn out.
Race format:
1000m run
1000m ski erg machine
1000m run
50m heavy sled push on astroturf. We used 355# sleds
1000m run
50m sled rope pull, I think we had 265 on the sleds
1000m run
70 burpee plate jumps (sim 80m burpee broad jumps, limited space)
1000m run
1000m row
1000m run
200m dual KB carry 2x55 (race is 2x60)
1000m run
100m walking lunges with 45# sandbag shoulder carry. You cannot put the bag down. Once is big penalty, twice is race disqualification!
1000m run
100 wall ball shots 14# to 10'

Took me about 1:47, as I am not a fast runner. More of a jog for most of the race.
