Garmin is adding a paid layer of data on their devices at $6.99/month. However there's more data for free on their site than I can handle now. Are any of yall going to add this monthly service? Just curious what feature you feel like is the best on the paid version?

nope. i barely use gamin connect as it is. its basically just a passthrough to strava for me.

Maybe in a couple years it might be worth it, but all this nonsense about utilizing AI for feedback is all gimmicky.

All my data ends up in intervals.icu and that's been good enough for analysis.

Pretty sure DCrainmaker did a test and didn't find much useful.

Garmin already tells me I'm fat, overtraining, undertraining, my sleep sucks, I have the VO2 max of a 96 year old, and I'm a loser.

So now I have to pay more to broadcast it live to my friends and family? No thanks.

Haha, with the sleep score my Garmin gives me everyday I should be dead by now.

Doesn't it know how hard I work on my naps?? Rude.

This makes me nervous. Love Garmin and their app. But this is a path to making us pay monthly for it.

It's the business model of everything these days (monthly contract are more important than up front cost). But will they reduce the up front cost? Doubt it.
