I have a weird mole between my toes that has dark
Spots and it feels like a really weird spot for a mole. Is this something I should go get a biopsy for or pretty normal?

Moles can really occur anywhere.

How long has that been there? Has it changed over time? How big is it?

Based just off the picture and my guestimate of size, it has a few reassuring qualities and one that is a bit concerning. It looks small, symmetric, with smooth borders. However the multiple colors thing is 50/50, since I think it's probably just melanocyte centers, multiple colors is a concerning feature in dermatology. Would get it checked.

Dermatology is sometimes hard to get into. So sometimes a primary care doc can do a biopsy for you. But in this case I would prefer derm. Also, if it was myself or a family member, I would make sure my appointment is with a dermatology physician, and not a PA or NP.

Not a physician, but I do have a history of skin cancer. Get it checked out sooner rather than later. The initial biopsies are not a big deal (pain- or recovery-wise), and are worth the peace of mind.

Not to alarm you, but my husband's grandmother died of melanoma that was unnoticed on the bottom of her foot until it was too late and had metastasized.

And agree 100% with insisting on the dermatologist and not a PA or NP.

I would get that removed. Don't do a Bob Marley on us.

That needs to be seen by a dermatologist. Would hate to miss an acral lentiginous melanoma.
