I've several friends do well with it. I slept in an Airbnb with an air conditioning vent pointed at my face. Woke up 5 hours later in the same spot last Friday morning. Had slight congestion. Went to work (outside) for 11 hours. Early on that day I felt a bit of congestion and it got worse from there. When I left work I had a 101 fever. Body aches. Head ache put me in the fetal position Saturday. The body aches and head ache are gone but the congestion has gotten worse. Still between 100.5 and 101.2 as I write this. I'm a 50 year old male. Reasonably good health.

What do you think?

Go get one of those combo flu and Covid tests, so you might know if it is that. At least then you'll know what symptoms and duration you have left to deal with but those sound like relatively moderate though still unpleasant symptoms of a severe cold or flu. The zinc transportation effect of ivermectin might have helped more early on but a few days in, probably ibuprofen and Pseudoephedrine decongestant are your best bet for relief. Just my experience with similar symptoms.

Ivermectin won't hurt to try off label I suppose.

Guilty of this myself...but people who wonder if they should go to a doctor have already waited too long. Crazy that whether or not you have insurance factors into decisions like this.
94chem,
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough

Question: If you don't know what you actually have, why are you treating it with ivermectin? Or do you believe ivermectin is just a cure all? Is it the flu? Covid? Pneumonia? Parainfluenza? RSV? Rhino/enterovirus? Something else?

And then, if you take it, and you get better, was it because of the meds? Or already being 3 days in, were you already on the same trajectory of improvement, and it make the same difference as blinking 3 times every morning would have?

Hydrate, vitamin c/d/zinc, rest as much as you can. Mucinex D to help get the congestion flowing and clearing

Nasal flush, decongestant (if normal BP), afrin twice a day x 3 days, astapro twice a day.

Ivermectin sure seems to be the latest cure-all though. Would be great if it was!

And the AC blowing in your face has nothing to do with this illness. You travelled and picked up a new viral URI, it happens.

Hope you feel better soon!

ETA: COVID testing may be helpful if you are high risk for severe disease, Paxlovid can be helpful if started within 5 days of symptoms starting. Your age is not high risk so mainly if obese, asthma, lung disease, etc.
