Anyone have experience using nasal dilators for sleeping overnight? Obviously the use case would be for nasal congestion or even to help with snoring, but interested if anyone has any real experience with these working or not. Thanks!

Curious as well. I think I have a slight deviated septum or something. Often hard to breathe out of one nostril at night and it's super annoying. I don't think they'd help with snoring though.

If it's minor these intake strips have helped a lot. Basically a sticker with a magnet on each nostril and a rigid plastic stent that holds your nose open.

Regarding snoring , nasal dilators and strips like this would only help if the obstruction is in the nasal cavity. It's often in the soft tissue around the throat so these types of things would not be too helpful unfortunately.

I've used intake breathing for a while now. It helps for sure, but has not solved my nasal congestion and resulting nasal snoring.

My allergist is convinced the nasal congestion is from a delayed food allergy, but I still need to go through that testing to see if that holds true.

I also used Flonase frequently at times but really didn't want to use it long term.

I use the dilators that you insert inside the nose that push the nostrils out. I find they work better than the magnetic strip. A little less comfortable but easily manageable.

My wife tried them and my experience was that her breathing smoothed out from the uneven apnea-ish type snoring she was having. But it didn't really change how much she snored, just smoothed it out and made it more rhythmic. Her experience was that once she was able to fall asleep, she slept better and woke feeling more rested, but they made it harder to fall asleep initially and tended to make her nose tender and somewhat sore after a few nights in a row of use.

Man, timely thread. I almost ordered the variety box of the Mute dilators but chickened out because I was thinking it wouldn't work and seemed gimmicky. I have fairly thin nostrils and they collapse when I run. I also have congestion only when at night when I go to sleep. Pushing on my nose helps, so maybe these things would help.

This came across my timeline as well. Curious timing.
