Anyone ever deal with this?

I have a good friend that recently was diagnosed with this. I'd never heard of it, but it has been debilitating for him.

I had a close friend diagnosed in her 20s. She was able to generally control it by reducing/eliminating salt from her diet. When she had an episode though, it was essentially like she was drunk - couldn't drive, vomiting, dizzy.

Glad to hear she could control it. When the vertigo hits, you feel like you are having a stroke. Puts you on the floor for a few hours.

A friend's daughter has it. It sounds like a total nightmare. My prayers for anyone suffering from this.

My best friend has it. He's tried numerous treatments. It generally under control. He has a chiropractor that does a "balloon" treatment (whatever that is) that he has used for episodes in the last year.

Yes I have it and if you can't control it and figure out what sets it off, it's debilitating. Low sodium diet did nothing for me. Allergies and alcohol intake conjoined (dehydration) set mine off. Also Zyrtec has set off a few attacks which I thought was strange until I read the box and it says can cause dizziness. So I stick to Allegra. Mezcline helps with the nausea during the attacks. I haven't had the ear fullness in quite awhile and I'm so thankful for that.

Thanks for this. I've only had a few vertigo spells, but the fullness is constant. Makes it so I can't even enjoy listening to records. Good to hear that might go away.

It took forever and I was at the point I was about to get hearing aids because I couldn't hear anything. It eventually went away on its own and I haven't had another occurrence that bad, but I was miserable for awhile.

I have it, haven't had an episode since 2018 but the tinnitus is still there and the hearing loss is getting worse but will deal with it to not have another episode. I started seeing Dr. Stewart in Bee Cave after a bad episode in 2018 and he really helped. Didn't just hand you the same packet the other doctors do and tell you to avoid salt. If you want more information on him let me know. For me it is trying to control inflammation, testosterone levels and CBD seem to make the biggest difference.

Like being drunk you say? And how does one go about getting some of this Meinere's disease?
