I have a question about Aggie history back in the 1920s. I recently found a newspaper article from 1926 that says my father's company in the Corps won the Howel Trophy. I'm Class of '65, and I don't remember ever hearing of a Howel Trophy. Does anyone have any idea what it was? Or what happened to it? Thanks.

Thanks bobbranco. I found the basic information online in archived articles from the Bryan Eagle from the 20s and 30s. However, I didn't find the origin of the trophy that you found. There was also the Waldrop trophy for the Artillery, and I think other trophies for at least some of the other branches. if you want to see what I found you can look at my post on the same subject on the Military forum.

Here's a link to a list of the various trophies awarded to the top Corps units in the different branches during the pre-WWII era.

You did a better job of displaying the information.

Now, can I remember your method for later use?

So, where are all these old, no longer awarded trophies being stored/displayed?
