Still a lot of color on it, close up photos attached.
Interestingly, it probably is NOT Quetzalcoatl.

Growing up in Mexico City, like 40-45 years ago it was very common to find relics/debris/artifacts in much of the city. When my grandparents house was built there was all kinds of stuff down below the surface of the land, they saved some shards and other things. At the elementary school I attended, it was on about 2 acres which was huge for a school in the city, they had found many things.

My mother had a chance to buy a gorgeous obsidian and jade burial mask from a family that apparently lived on some kind of burial ground, they basically made their living selling stuff (and it was real). I remember as kid thinking that in reality the Mexia/Aztec city was actually pretty darn big because stuff was everywhere. Mind you these weren't huge statues and other major things, but there was lots of evidence of civilization there. My grandparents said that in the early part of the last century when the city started growing, there was all kinds of stuff found.

I have seen private collections of artifacts that were almost museum quality.

It is amazing that more of this has not been discovered.

How much has been purposefully hidden or covered up, versus how much was just covered by the passage of time.
