Recommendations for a great book on the War of 1812? Haven't really dived in deep to this war as I have other major, global affairs. Thanks.

The only book I've read on the subject is The Weight of Vengeance: The United States, the British Empire, and the War of 1812 by Troy Bickham.

Bickham is a professor at A&M, if that helps. I found the book very interesting.

I've read a number of War of 1812 books, but none that I feel are dramatically better than the others.

I would like to put in a plug for my book, which is about the revolution in Texas which is parallell to and related to the War of 1812.
