What about the quarterback, Tyler Bray? Since he's from California it seems like he'd be a likely player to switch, but I don't know if he was one of the early enrollees Orgeron was trying to keep from going to class or if they have more time to work on him.

Read somewhere that Orgeron was contacting early enrollees and telling them not to attend classes. Supposedly if they haven't attended a class they can apply for a waiver to be released from their commitment and can switch to USC.

I feel compelled to confess that my Ed Orgeron notions have seemingly gone down in flames.

He seems ready to move in an instant.

Per ESPN several early arrivals did not attend class to remain eligible to leave and it looks like more than half their recruits are looking elsewhere or have decommitted. A few practiced during the Bowl workouts and thus must sit out a year if they leave. That sucks for them.

Kiffin and Staff are snakes... They are leaving Tennessee absolutely destroyed. It would be a tough time to be a Vol fan.

The real travesty is the encouragement of skipping classes. Just think about the number of syllabi being printed and not used.

I think those unused trees are the real losers in all of this.

The coach SHOULD be only 20% of why a player committs because you'll never know when that coach will leave.

I just hope these kids realize that in leaving Kiffin not only walked out on Tennessee but on them too. Fool me once...

kiffin is the epitome of what is wrong with college football. the guy has no loyalty, no sense of committment and no care for thr kids he recruits and coaches.

I hope USC gets mega sanctions and kiffin is run out of coaching.

What about the lack of loyalty of Tennessee firing a coach who gave them a national title, was an alum there, and gave them just about the best era they ever had. The lack of loyalty goes both ways. I don't have a lot of sympathy for Tennessee

I'm going to guess most major programs are in the same boat we are of having all our ships committed or nearly so. Where do these players think they are going to land by changing this late in the game?

I remembered someone following Franchione over here... Thought it was Boone Stutz... I was actually right...

He was going to go to TCU to play for Fran, but changed to Alabama when Fran went there. Then followed Fran to A&M.

Not exactly stealing a recruit though.

I do remember hearing BCG recruiting to Kentucky before he left to accept the job. I also recall him telling one recruit that he hopes he plays for him, no matter where he is coaching.

I can see cherry picking a few guys that want to stay with the coach, but trying to convince a large number of them to decommit is just wrong.

Do they plan on offering all these guys at USC? I haven't followed USC recruiting, but I would assume they have a class already in the works. I know they tend to fill up late, so maybe there are still a lot of open slots.

They have 14 commitments so far. Not sure how many spots they ACTUALLY have
available, but looking back to 2007, I don't see a single USC class that had 20 commitments.

Who knows if some of them will drop, but I'm sure that Kiffin could successfully take at least a handful of them along with him and if he were to keep the class already assembled have an absolutely beastly class.

Throw in that Kiffin said they wouldn't recruit anyone that didn't contact them first and they appear to be even bigger slimeballs. Nothing illegal recruiting-wise, just being a liar.
