Just a thought that occured to me today. As of right now, "Legend" is the highest poster level attainable, which you hit at 5,000 posts. I'm sure when the site started, they figured it would be a select few who ever reached this mark. However, he we are in 2012, and there are hundreds (if not more) of us with little "L"s under our username.

So it begs the question, should Texags create a status above Legend? I hereby suggest that when someone hits 20,000 posts, they reach "Diety" status.

Thoughts?

I think -dary status should come after Legend.

Just ring the L in silver, gold, or maroon outlines to denote ever increasing levels of crazy.

I'd be down with an E for elite. It also would make the e-thug comment all the more real on this site.

I'm for some kind of "member since..." designation. Prevents post padding & rewards those who don't post profligately as well as those who do. (Some kind of min post/year would keep dead account, well, dead).

I've never understood the interest in post-padding. I'm generally embarrassed by the number of posts I make...it's not really a source of pride.

I think you should get some kind of recognition for every 5 or 10 years you've been here. Sort of like service year stripes on Army uniforms.

After all, it's very possible that there are folks on here who will still be following TexAgs for the next 60+ years.

I, unfortunately, would have hit 5,000 about 500 posts sooner than I did, but I got in trouble with a different user name for questioning the ability of Fran. I then had to come back to this username that I had created first and forgotten about for a while.

The sad face is because I have an L on another team's website, not because of the ban.

What are the levels?

Rookie (Minimum Posts: 0)

Pro (Minimum Posts: 31)

Veteran (Minimum Posts: 100)

All Star (Minimum Posts: 500)

Hall of Famer (Minimum Posts: 2000)
