Isn't TCU (Purple Baylor) part of the Baylor system? He is just moving to the main campus.

If you go work for 2 of their main rivals in the same conference, it kinda is. Especially when he didn't want to leave TCU.

Patterson decided to leave Texas. It wasn't that he didn't last. I think he wanted to spend more time with family. He probably got bored and wants back in college football.

When you dump somebody, you don't get to complain about who they date afterward.

Baylor def seems to be lining up an interim coach, in the event they need one. Aranda is a defensive coach, so it's not like he needed help shoring up on that front, the way Sark did when he hired him.

It looks more like tcu shooting Patterson the finger since he didn't want to leave and they booted him out the door. Patterson is just trying to find work and I'm guessing his phone isn't ringing off the wall.

Saw him around town (FW) earlier this week. He looked like he lost some good weight and was in high spirits. I guess that stint at tu did him some good.

Baylor-Texas Christian is one of only like 3 or 4 games the Big XII decided was going to be played every year. I believe Arizona-Arizona State, Brigham Young-Utah, and Kansas-Kansas State were the only other rivalries deemed important enough to be played every hear.

But in the end he, like Jimbo, couldn't adapt to the new meta of college football NIL and portal

I think Jimbo adapted just fine to NIL and everything, he just didn't know what to do with the talent we pulled in.

TCU played in the CFB playoffs with the coach they hired to replace Patterson. I'm sure they aren't spending a lot of time worrying about the Baylor assistant coaches.

Patterson was a defensive genius in the WAC, MWC, and whatever else league TCU was in

but once he and the Frogs got to the Big 12...reality set in

his first season in the Big 12 in 2012...

the Frogs gave up 56 points to Tech, 38 points to West Virginia, 37 points to Iowa State, etc..,
