Greg snakey sold us out. He was on the CFP expansion team.
CFP 12 team expansion committee sold out.
Espn (longhorn network partner) backs tu so much

The timing is not coincidence to me. This possibly was in the works with the hiring of Sark. Recruiting of Ewers and Arch

NIL also helps accelerate the talent recruitments from the portal

Tu enters the SEC with a bang
They didn't deserve the CFP last year and we're beaten by Penix and Washington 2 year s in a row

While Georgia and Fla state were out of the top 4 and had better regular seasons

ESPN hides behind ratings arguments. (We are like bowl games who deserve to choose big fan bases who will watch and are partners in mainstream marketability )

A&M ? Just keep them on ESPN or sec network instead of ABC they must always pay us to watch.

ESPN just glazing Arch now just an overall glaze fest

Politics are always involved but the SEC wasn't gonna let the Big 10 into Texas with either flagship school without a fight, nor should they.

But you lost me at(and correct me if I'm wrong), after tu plays Arky text week on ABC, we will have both been on ABC five times and 6 for both the final game.

And you seem to forget, ESPN had to consolidate its loss for the LHN stupidity.

I asked ChatGPT for help:

Here's a refined version:

Greg Sankey turned his back on us, pushing a CFP expansion that plays right into Texas' hands. The timing of this 12-team playoff feels too convenient to be just a coincidenceit's almost as if it was in the works since Texas hired Sarkisian and landed big-name recruits like Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning. NIL deals have only made it easier for them to fast-track talent from the transfer portal.

Texas enters the SEC with a bang, seemingly gifted a path to the CFP they didn't deserve last year. They were outplayed by Penix and Washington two years running, while Georgia and Florida State, who had stronger regular seasons, got left out of the top four.

And ESPN? Of course, they're backing their Longhorn Network investment, masking it behind "ratings" arguments. They act like they're choosing bowl teams based on fan bases, favoring those with the biggest market appeal. But Texas A&M? We're kept on ESPN or SEC Network while Texas gets ABC primetime. They'd rather keep us as a cash machine than let us shine.

And now it's an Arch Manning love-fest. ESPN can't stop gushing over hima nonstop hype train that just keeps rolling.

My point is with the 12 team CFP , the SEC will likely have 2 to 3 teams in the 12 team playoff bracket.
Tu is in the elite rotation now for those 2-3 sec playoff spots.

Why is this ? And How did this happen? I presented major college football events as the background information.

Ppl say it was lucky timing for tu. Or that we should learn from them.

Why does everyone think just making it to the 12 team playoff is a big deal? If a team is truly overrated and they lose in the first round….no one consider that any sort of success. Too much admiration given to making the playoff IMO.

Good point Nino . But I do feel that tu gets promoted a lot by that company and gives it that extra exposure in the college football narrative.

Texas has to win to keep their fans engaged, so they're willing to pull all the shenanigans possible. We don't have that issue. It's our single biggest downfall as a football program.

Just compare this years schedules of Sip and OU. That's all you need to know. It shows very clearly what is going on with CFB and SEC/ESPN.

One of those teams is actually a historical CFB power. The other doesn't have the skins, not even close, to match.

Sips are not even guaranteed to get into this year's Playoff if they lose to us.

Scenario:
A&M
2-loss Georgia
Lsu or Alabama
Ole Miss or Tennessee
