There's nobody to replace. It was already too crowded with Pat and Saban joining while Lee was part time. He's also not an analyst.
Lee's hijinks get replaced by Pat and any analysis he ever provided has already been replaced by Saban.

Keep Saban, I actually like him on there. Get rid of McAfee, he sucks. Replace him with Spurrier to fill the goofy old man antics with some humorous analysis. That's the winning combo. Or bring back Pollack, I always liked him too.

There are legit rumors circulating that they will add Theo Von to the cast. On3 reported it and a buddy of mine works for espn and confirmed there is mutual interest (or at least that's what employees are saying). He's not in any decision making role so we will see if they get a deal done.

Wow, Mike Leach would have been fantastic on GD, especially with Saban at the same table.

For my money it simply does not get any better than Beano Cook.

gameday was already getting tired and unbearable to a point. adding a comedian who has zero football knowledge would be dumb AF. No way Saban and Kirk would agree to that.Tejas Ag 10 said:

I could see Theo getting a little weekly cameo or something but zero chance he's sitting at the desk with the rest of them.

He was already replaced years ago (and got to do the thing he invented for awhile longer for like 10 mins on a 3 hour show).Quote:
