What are y'all's personal "hot takes" or bold predictions that take place in college football this year? I'm talking predictions that are some of the boldest takes for this season.

My main hot takes are:

- Sips go 8-4 at best. Arch hype train starts falling apart. Losses probably to Ohio State, Georgia, Florida, and 1 more to us/vandy, etc (I could see this happening because they have new OL and lost 16 starters)

- Tech shocks the CFP world and wins the Big 12 and makes the playoffs. This take is a hot one because Tech has never been near this level of success in a while. This is a BIG year for them.

- Vandy goes into T-town and upsets Bama for the first time in over 40 years. This is the boldest one I have. I think Pavia has that DAWG mentality. He comes off as cocky to me in the Netflix Show, but I like it.

- The Ags take it personal and dominate the sips from start to finish in Austin. Blowout on the scoreboard. Hot take because I have this game being close no matter who wins.

- Franklin finally gets over the hump and wins the Big Ten and a national championship this year with Penn State. Hot take because Franklin hasn't shown that he can consistently win big as of yet.

What other hot takes do y'all have?

Your hot take is that the Ags blowout the Horns but it's a close game if the Horns or Ags win???

The Aggies and Longhorns will both be 9-2, and the Lone Star Showdown will be a play-in game. We will beat Texas in Austin to secure a playoff spot and knock Texas out of the playoffs. This is a hot take because I think we have a better chance of winning a road game Notre Dame than the road games at LSU and Texas.

this is indeed a hot take. Aggies shouldn't have been allowed on the same field as the longhorns last season. Came in, kissed our girlfriends, and burned our house down. What was the big change that has happened that leads you to believe we will keep it close?

I like all of these predictions except for PSU. I predict they lose every big game just like last year. They lose to Oregon, UCLA and OSU. Their best win is Indiana in true B10 fashion.

During the last two weeks of August plus through the Utah State game, Texags will have over 10 threads about how to watch the first few games, including streaming options and how to get the SEC Network.
Some posters will reflect on the simpler days of cable bundles, and someone will appreciate Dollar Bill Byrne putting games on PPV because they were easier to find.

Tceh landing 5 star recruits will ultimately cause NIL regulation. Alabama, Georgia, and LSU aren't going to be happy about losing prized recruits to a program like Tceh. I think Tceh will end up being made an example of like SMU was in the 80s.

This is finally Penn State's year. I think they get past OSU for the first time in what seems like a century.

Gundy's seat is hot in November for the first time in his also what seems like a century career.

Georgia and Ohio State underperform.

Tech still proves to be Tech despite their recent recruiting surge.

Big rebounds for OU & FSU (it helps when you can't go much lower than their respective '24 seasons).

Clemson drops a game to a middle of the pack (or even crappy) team, but rebounds and wins 10+. Will LSU break their opening weekend curse on the East Coast?

Can Georgia Tech do anything with one of the most experienced teams in the country?

7-5 will create some noise amongst the USC brass suffering buyer's remorse from their Lincoln purchase.

Look for Bama to be in the mix in December.

Ag shock ND, after which every ESiPN analyst declares ND overrated.

Auburn has a surprisingly strong 9-3 record, but still loses the Iron Bowl, causing fans to melts down, and Freeze gets fired.

Brian Kelly gets fired before the season's over, Woodward realizes LSU has no money to both pay off Kelly and hire a new HC, so he talks Jimbo into coming to LSU for $1 since he's still living off A&M.

UT completely folds, winning 5 games, and fans start speaking fondly of Nico.

Big Blue Nation spends all football season talking about the upcoming basketball season.

The Immaculate Manning is 5th or lower in every statistical category leading the sips to an 8-4 or 9-3 record, but is the runaway winner of the Heisman because... Manning and... sips. Media blames sips "hard" schedule for the lack of success. Sankey promises to rectify, schedules the bottom eight SEC teams, and declares all sip SEC games will be played in Austin.

We will be the more talented team than them. We have the better starting 22 compared to them this season. Even then, I'm not bullish on us winning in their house. But we keep it close

I'm here to tell you I had a dream. It wasn't good. 1st game the score was 33-30. I guess the good side to this could be, "At least ND made the Championship Game after losing to Northern Illinois."
