Ugly win for the Aggies but I'll take it. Arky always gives us headaches. I love this team and I have high hopes for them but there's still some tests for them to pass before I start making plans to buy tickets to Miami in January.

I am relieved we held off Arkansas 45-42 to improve to 7-0 (4-0 SEC) for the first time since 1994. As a result, we handed Arkansas their 5th consecutive loss to drop them to 2-5 (0-3 SEC). Also, we have won 4 consecutive games against Arkansas and 13 of 14 since joining the SEC in 2012. I noticed several other trends.

1. We are 2-0 in road games, despite allowing 41+ points each to Notre Dame and Arkansas.

2. We scored a season high 45 points and 41+ points for the 4th time this year and 2nd time on the road.

3. We allowed a season high 42 points, 6 more than we allowed in our previous 3 SEC games against Auburn, Mississippi State, and Florida combined.

4. Mike Elko has improved to 4-2 in true road games.

5. Bobby Petrino loses to us for the first time in 4 tries. He was 3-0 against us from 2009 to 2011.

6. Arkansas has lost 5 consecutive home games to Power 4 teams and 9 of their last 10 home games to Power 4 teams since the beginning of 2023, including 7 of their last 8 SEC home games. The only exception was a 19-14 upset of Tennessee on 10/5/24.
