Does it account for or mater that their QB hasnt played?
Without their QB I feel like this will be a repeat of last year.
LSU was also a close stat simulation. Vegas opened at -6.5, and it has moved to -7 at some places and -7.5 at others. I like our chances.
How can it? I mean it is mostly 95% based on their team statistics to date... so yes I expect them to lose some umph on offense, but that is minimally taken into account by the formula... they maybe lost 1-2 pts because of it - just how the formula does it's thing.

Did you watch their qb play against Vandy? Looked very good considering the circumstances. Hopefully we can take advantage of his inexperience but the talent appears to be there.

I didn't see Vandy - t.u., but how good is Vandy's pass d? run d? I still think Mizzou will be up for it for sure. This can make a team's season. But, we have to learn on how to continue to play to win and not "play to not lose"

Vandy's defense is decent but not near as good as ours. Hopefully that means we can shut them.down offensively.

I have to think playing against a backup QB in his first collegiate start, regardless of his talent level, will be a net positive for the Ags. We will have a bunch of blitz packages he's never seen before.
We just need to stop the run. Keep them from getting chunk plays where our linebackers are in the wrong gap. If we do that, I think we will score enough on offense to win. They do have a very good defense though. Won't be easy.

this game comes down to discipline we are the better team but they are the type of team that can beat you if you play their game. stuff the run, win 3rd down.

I'm not new to it at all. I just think this team is good, unlike most of our teams over the last 30 years.
That QB won't be able to read what Elko is bringing.

The new QB can cut both ways.
Could be that nerves and lack of experience hamstrings him.

Careful now. We've made more than a few back-up QB's look like Heisman contenders.

1/ Shutdown the running game... thats their base offense.
2/ Protect against the short passing game - this is the 2nd option.
3/ Double the tight ends inside the 30 yard line - they dont target much until they reach the red zone with them, then its a primary weapon for scoring.
4/ Capitalize on their turnovers - they make 1 or more per game.
5/ Force them to throw with a freshman QB, then tee off on him.
Same as last year... can they block us? I doubt it!
