Trying it this way.

A&M adjusted. We gave up hitting Manning repeatedly and only giving up 124 yards for "keeping him in the pocket" and letting them play Sark ball unimpeded
Generally agree with your assessment of the defensive skill level, but I actually think Elko's play calling and the defense's ability to make timely splash plays have covered more for Klein and Reed than the other way around.91AggieLawyer said:
I have said all season we're not a championship defense nor can we win a championship with this defense. We aren't that fast, we don't tackle worth ****, we can't cover very well, and unless we get to the QB and cause havoc that way, we are going to give up yards and points. The offense has bailed out the defense in a few games and we've lucked out in others where the teams just weren't very good or quit at halftime for whatever reason.
Once again, we extended a coach who hasn't done crap. Maybe cleaned up a few messes but nothing to show himself worthy of the extension.
Sanford and York are slow. When Scoobie went down I said only losing Howell is worse.shelbys99 said:
Scrambling QB.
Have given up yards to that all season.
LB cannot spy

Had nothing to do with speed in this game it was the defensive tackles getting out of their lanes
Agree. And, the speed issue is absolutely at the core of not being able to contain Manning on the ground. Manning is just a flat out better athlete than any A&M backer or safety on the field tonight.cevans_40 said:TBoneAg said:npc said:Sanford and York are slow. I think you put way too much faith in the analysis of a former QB. The long stick was by design. I would be willing to bet a large sum of money that the LBs were the ones in the wrong gaps.
