One yard two years in a row.
Team never shows up ready to play. Poor fundamentals in every phase of the game.
Sips haven't been able to cover a TE or RB out of the backfield all year. Like historically bad. And we don't even remotely try to exploit that all game long. Klein choked.
He's trying to make Reed someone he isn't. Not sure why we didn't run the ball more with Reed/the running backs.
He's not a bad OC, but you definitely see some of the issues/deficiencies he has. Dude needs a little bit more seasoning and he'll be alright.. and a quarterback who is accurate wouldn't hurt either

We ran the ball for 3 yards over and over and over and over inside, outside, 9 yards per drive because the quarterback cant be trusted to actually complete a pass. We did spend the second quarter trying to get Reed going instead but all he could do was run

If Marcel Reed was 6-5 230 we would be unstoppable but he's not. Last years Florida game is the only time Ive ever seen him carry is with his legs. It just doesnt happen

I agree with that. But it's pretty embarrassing when the Film Guy basically asked him not to call a game like this, and he still did it. Forcing Reed into things he's not great at, we stall through the first half and waste a great defensive performance. (1st half).

He is who he is. And even so IF there's validity to your point about him needing seasoning…A&M ain't the place to learn on the job. Dude belongs in the Big 12. Maybe K-State will be dumb enough to take him back/off our hands.
3rd & 2 after running over their o-line and we throw it deep down field. Klein sucks
I seriously wonder if Sark just has Klein figured out. Klein is 0-3 as an OC vs Sark. The only time he put up decent points against the longhorns was at Kansas State, where they put up 30 and lost. If I remember right, he ran a stupid play and they got stuffed and lost. In 8 quarters here at A&M, against the horns, he's only been able to score 17 points.
It is not hard to find a high school playbook like Kliens.

We tried running with Reed early, and it didn't work more than not. And our RBs averaged like 3 yards a carry beyond a couple runs.Patience32 said:

It appeared obvious they didn't. It appeared obvious the sips did. The sips defensive coordinator handed Klein his ass on platter...the same platter the sips offensive coordinator handed our defensive coordinator's ass.
Ran it 34 times vs 32 passes tonight. About the same balance as every other game this year. If Owens could stay on his feet there would have been a few more 1st downs at a minimum

We should have run ALOT more in 3Q when we had the lead. The first two series of 3Q changed the game completely.

We also have a VERY strange rotation and rep distribution. I could understand if we regularly use some people in different situations and then deliberately confuse other teams by calling an alternate play. However, there's no definitive logic to why and when we use RBs with play calls. The latter would be really cool if we were somehow pulling things over on other teams because of it but yeah... not happening. It just drives us all crazy.

We've seen lapses and inconsistencies and some inexplicable calls from Klein all year. All of us have asked the question, "What was he thinking?" Stopping with what works. Trying to be too cute. Throwing long on downs when short yardage is needed. Why are we shocked by what happened last night? Klein has reached his ceiling. It's up to Elko to decide whether he thinks that ceiling is good enough. What would you do if you were the HC?
