An offense that was averaging 37 points a game decides to completely ditch a winning formula and play conservatively on offense up until you are two scores down with a QB that has struggled with deep-ball accuracy. Reed is more than good enough to have won us this game if you had let him play to his strengths (RPOs/Midrange throws). Instead Klein was so scared of a turnover that he played for small yardage. At no point was Texas worried about the deep passing game.
Reed never really got going, which mounted pressure on the defense, who eventually caved and gave up big plays, which then forced the offense to take excessive risks, leading to...drumroll please, THE TURNOVERS THAT THE COACHES WERE TRYING TO AVOID IN THE FIRST PLACE.
The boys did their best with the sh*tty situation they were put in by incompetent coaches. This loss is on them.
