They gave Marcel plenty of time to throw today. and opened up some holes the problem was a quarterback had a career bad day and look like a deer in the headlights. he's been great this year but tonight he gagged Under The Lights
I still like this team. We have a few more wins left. We stood up better than last year but 2nd half was not a solid performance. Sometimes a good ass kicking can be good for the soul.

Not really. He was on the run quite a bit. More telling is the fact that we couldn't run well against teams with a pulse this year.

2nd TD had a 28 yard pass play right before the TD.
This offense has clicked all season when it gets streaky and has big pass plays to setup the run.

By big pass plays you mean 10 yard dump offs resulting in high yak percentages.

We are meaningfully better when Zuhn is at Center. Our best drive of the night was when he was there. And then he went back to LT the very next drive and never went back to C from what I recall.
Between that and not exploiting their LB weakness (especially in the first half), I'll never understand most of the play calling tonight. Klein choked.

I was very surprised when Reed said during the press conference that tu's DL played harder than our OL.
At least he was paying attention to the game

I've laughed all year every time the announcers talked about how dominant our OL is.

Because Crownover was getting owned. They swapped them out.
Did not have enough big plays on offense ,
Not sure how much MR mobility was hampered by the injury but against good defensive teams we need MR to make plays as a dual threat especially with Moss being out

OL was fine. Reed had plenty of time but he doesn't process quickly and he doesn't have the arm to drive the ball in swirling conditions, on top of simply not being an accurate qb by modern standards. A&M averaged Mr 4.6 yards per carry and Reed was sacked once. Reed managed to build a small cult of personality on this site despite being a turnover machine and objectively inaccurate passer.

No idea why Smith and Morrow didn't play more. Those two can actually break tackles.
