No. All is not lost. I do think the program did take a step forward this year.

Oh, I agree. As I said, I do think a solid step forward was made this year.
But this loss shows that step wasn't quite as big as some folks had hoped. And to have that point driven home by a rival is what absolutely sucks.
But hey. Season isn't over. Ags will have a shot in the playoffs. The Ags are still a good football team.

We haven't beaten sip in like 5,000 days and I don't care how many Mississippi States and Auburns we beat until that becomes a reality

Myself I have never been a fan of playing the victim. Life is too short.
Losing to South Carolina is BAS perfect scenario but it did not occur. This is losing to our rival. Even non BAS Ags don't like it but we are able to have perspective.

It's just that every time the Ags have been on the door step of something great, they have blown it. For decades. Mix that with how much buy in is required to be an Aggie, and you are set up with a lot of disappointment.
Is it all over this season? No. Of course not. Playoffs are a big deal. And the Ags did take a step forward this season. But still.

A loss is one thing, getting out coached with 2 weeks to prepare is what people are mad at.

I haven't lost any of the faith I have in this team because their performance last night was nothing new.
Klein is a suspect OC, and even when he's calling a good game, Reed's passing decisions and accuracy can be great or garbage.
Also, teams have broken off big runs against A&M this year, but they've also been shut down.
In short, A&M has the talent to beat any team and the inconsistency to lose to most of them, too.

That loss cost us Atlanta and gave the committee the excuse they've been waiting for to knock us down to a 9 or 10 seed. And the way we've playing lately were a one and done in the playoff
So yeah that game mattered a whole lot and as always we couldn't handle being at the big boy table with real stakes

People that have the gumption to be so high and mighty in the face of such adversity should be applauded.
